¹⁹ that he may ^(A)deliver their soul from death
    and keep them alive in ^(B)famine.

¹⁹ they are not put to shame in evil times;
    in ^(A)the days of famine they have abundance.

^3 (A)The Lord does not let the righteous go hungry,
    ^(B)but he thwarts the craving of the wicked.

¹⁹ He will ^(A)deliver you from six troubles;
    in seven no ^(B)evil^[a] shall touch you.
^20 (C)In famine he will redeem you from death,
    and in war from the power of the sword.
²¹ You shall be ^(D)hidden from the lash of the tongue,
    and shall not fear destruction when it comes.
²² At destruction and famine you shall laugh,
    and shall not fear ^(E)the beasts of the earth.

¹⁶ he will dwell on the heights;
    his place of defense will be the fortresses of rocks;
    ^(A)his bread will be given him; his water will be sure.

^10 (A)no evil shall be allowed to befall you,
    ^(B)no plague come near your tent.
