⁵ I abhor^(A) the assembly of evildoers
    and refuse to sit with the wicked.

⁶ I hate those who cling to worthless idols;^(A)
    as for me, I trust in the Lord.^(B)

³ I will not look with approval
    on anything that is vile.^(A)

I hate what faithless people do;^(B)
    I will have no part in it.
⁴ The perverse of heart^(C) shall be far from me;
    I will have nothing to do with what is evil.

⁵ Whoever slanders their neighbor^(D) in secret,
    I will put to silence;
whoever has haughty eyes^(E) and a proud heart,
    I will not tolerate.

⁶ My eyes will be on the faithful in the land,
    that they may dwell with me;
the one whose walk is blameless^(F)
    will minister to me.

⁷ No one who practices deceit
    will dwell in my house;
no one who speaks falsely
    will stand in my presence.

⁸ Every morning^(G) I will put to silence
    all the wicked^(H) in the land;
I will cut off every evildoer^(I)
    from the city of the Lord.^(J)

²¹ Do I not hate those^(A) who hate you, Lord,
    and abhor^(B) those who are in rebellion against you?
²² I have nothing but hatred for them;
    I count them my enemies.^(C)
