⁶ “I have installed my king^(A)
    on Zion,^(B) my holy mountain.^(C)”

⁶ For to us a child is born,^(A)
    to us a son is given,^(B)
    and the government^(C) will be on his shoulders.^(D)
And he will be called
    Wonderful Counselor,^(E) Mighty God,^(F)
    Everlasting^(G) Father,^(H) Prince of Peace.^(I)
7 Of the greatness of his government^(J) and peace^(K)
    there will be no end.^(L)
He will reign^(M) on David’s throne
    and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
    with justice^(N) and righteousness^(O)
    from that time on and forever.^(P)
The zeal^(Q) of the Lord Almighty
    will accomplish this.

² Beautiful^(E) in its loftiness,
    the joy of the whole earth,
like the heights of Zaphon^[b](F) is Mount Zion,^(G)
    the city of the Great King.^(H)

⁶ Your throne, O God,^[a] will last for ever and ever;^(A)
    a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.

⁹ Therefore God exalted him^(A) to the highest place
    and gave him the name that is above every name,^(B)
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,^(C)
    in heaven and on earth and under the earth,^(D)
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,^(E)
    to the glory of God the Father.
