⁷ O Lord, my Lord, my strong deliverer,
    you have covered my head in the day of battle.^(A)

²⁶ He shall cry to me, ‘You are my Father,
    my God, and the Rock of my salvation!’^(A)

⁷ On God rests my deliverance and my honor;
    my mighty rock, my refuge is in God.^(A)

² He alone is my rock and my salvation,
    my fortress; I shall never be shaken.^(A)

¹ I love you, O Lord, my strength.
² The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer,
    my God, my rock in whom I take refuge,
    my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.^(A)

²⁷ He subdues the ancient gods,^[a]
    shatters^[b] the forces of old;^[c]
he drove out the enemy before you
    and said, ‘Destroy!’^(A)
28 So Israel lives in safety,
    untroubled is Jacob’s abode^[d]
in a land of grain and wine,
    where the heavens drop down dew.^(B)
29 Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you,
    a people saved by the Lord,
the shield of your help
    and the sword of your triumph!
Your enemies shall come fawning to you,
    but you shall tread on their backs.”^(C)
