^14 (A)who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed ^(B)and purify for Himself ^(C)His own special people, zealous for good works.

¹⁴ For ^(A)sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

^21 (A)And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name ^[a]Jesus, ^(B)for He will save His people from their sins.”

⁵ And you know ^(A)that He was manifested ^(B)to take away our sins, and ^(C)in Him there is no sin. ⁶ Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

⁷ Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. ^8 (D)He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, ^(E)that He might destroy the works of the devil.
