² As the eyes of servants
    look to the hand of their master,
as the eyes of a maid
    to the hand of her mistress,
so our eyes look to the Lord our God,
    until he has mercy upon us.^(A)

¹⁵ My eyes are ever toward the Lord,
    for he will pluck my feet out of the net.^(A)

¹ I waited patiently for the Lord;
    he inclined to me and heard my cry.^(A)
2 He drew me up from the desolate pit,^[a]
    out of the miry bog,
and set my feet upon a rock,
    making my steps secure.^(B)
3 He put a new song in my mouth,
    a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
    and put their trust in the Lord.^(C)

    and for the fulfillment of your righteous promise.^(A)
124 Deal with your servant according to your steadfast love,
