¹⁴ I praise you^(A) because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,^(B)
    I know that full well.
¹⁵ My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made^(C) in the secret place,
    when I was woven together^(D) in the depths of the earth.^(E)
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
    all the days ordained^(F) for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.

⁸ The Lord will vindicate^(A) me;
    your love, Lord, endures forever^(B)—
    do not abandon^(C) the works of your hands.^(D)

¹⁵ Did not he who made me in the womb make them?^(A)
    Did not the same one form us both within our mothers?^(B)

⁸ But it is the spirit^[a](A) in a person,
    the breath of the Almighty,^(B) that gives them understanding.^(C)

¹⁰ The fear of the Lord^(A) is the beginning of wisdom;^(B)
    all who follow his precepts have good understanding.^(C)
    To him belongs eternal praise.^(D)
