⁸ he seats them^(A) with princes,
    with the princes of his people.

⁷ He does not take his eyes off the righteous;^(A)
    he enthrones them with kings^(B)
    and exalts them forever.^(C)

⁸ And being found in appearance as a man,
    he humbled himself
    by becoming obedient to death^(A)—
        even death on a cross!^(B)

⁹ Therefore God exalted him^(C) to the highest place
    and gave him the name that is above every name,^(D)
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,^(E)
    in heaven and on earth and under the earth,^(F)
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,^(G)
    to the glory of God the Father.

¹⁶ Your sons will take the place of your fathers;
    you will make them princes^(A) throughout the land.

¹³ Even while you sleep among the sheep pens,^[a](A)
    the wings of my dove are sheathed with silver,
    its feathers with shining gold.”

“You are worthy^(B) to take the scroll
    and to open its seals,
because you were slain,
    and with your blood^(C) you purchased^(D) for God
    persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.^(E)
10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests^(F) to serve our God,
    and they will reign^[a] on the earth.”^(G)
