Sit at My Right Hand

A Psalm of David.

¹² But when Christ^[a] had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he ^(A)sat down at the right hand of God, ¹³ waiting from that time ^(B)until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet.

²⁵ For he must reign ^(A)until he has put all his enemies under his feet.

¹³ And to which of the angels has he ever said,

⁴² For David himself says in the Book of Psalms,

²⁰ that he worked in Christ ^(A)when he raised him from the dead and ^(B)seated him at his right hand ^(C)in the heavenly places, ^21 (D)far above ^(E)all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above ^(F)every name that is named, not only in ^(G)this age but also in the one to come. ²² And ^(H)he put all things under his feet and gave him as ^(I)head over all things to the church,

Whose Son Is the Christ?

^35 (A)And as ^(B)Jesus taught in the temple, he said, “How can the scribes say that ^(C)the Christ is the son of David? ³⁶ David himself, ^(D)in the Holy Spirit, declared,

³⁷ David himself calls him Lord. So ^(G)how is he his son?” And the great throng ^(H)heard him gladly.

³ He is the radiance of the glory of God and ^(A)the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. ^(B)After making purification for sins, ^(C)he sat down ^(D)at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

² looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, ^(A)who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising ^(B)the shame, and ^(C)is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
