³⁴ May my meditation be pleasing to him,
    as I rejoice^(A) in the Lord.

¹⁷ Though the fig tree does not bud
    and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
    and the fields produce no food,^(A)
though there are no sheep in the pen
    and no cattle in the stalls,^(B)
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord,^(C)
    I will be joyful in God my Savior.^(D)

⁴⁷     and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,^(A)

⁵ I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;^(A)
    with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

⁶ On my bed I remember you;
    I think of you through the watches of the night.^(B)
