¹² Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river.^(A) Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit^(B) fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary^(C) flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.^(D)”

⁶ If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.^(A)

²³ The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph’s^(A) care, because the Lord was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did.^(B)

⁷ “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey^(A) all the law^(B) my servant Moses^(C) gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left,^(D) that you may be successful wherever you go.^{(E) 8} Keep this Book of the Law^(F) always on your lips;^(G) meditate^(H) on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.^(I)

⁸ It had been planted in good soil by abundant water so that it would produce branches,^(A) bear fruit and become a splendid vine.’
