^9 (A)He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;
    he ^(B)breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
    ^(C)he burns the chariots with fire.

⁴ He shall judge between the nations,
    and shall decide disputes for many peoples;
^(A)and they shall beat their swords into plowshares,
    and their spears into pruning hooks;
^(B)nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
    neither shall they learn war anymore.

³ There he ^(A)broke the flashing arrows,
    the shield, the sword, and the weapons of war. Selah
