²⁵ A truthful witness saves lives,
But he who ^[a](A)utters lies is ^[b]treacherous.

Much less are ^(B)lying lips to a prince.

²⁰ He who has a crooked ^[a]mind ^(A)finds no good,
And he who is ^(B)perverted in his language falls into evil.

⁹ A ^(A)false witness will not go unpunished,
And he who ^[a]tells lies will perish.

⁶ The ^(A)acquisition of treasures by a lying tongue
Is a fleeting vapor, the ^[a]pursuit of ^(B)death.
