³⁴ With the scornful ^[a]he scorneth, but he giveth grace unto the humble.

⁷ He that reproveth a scorner, purchaseth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh the wicked, getteth himself a ^[a]blot.

⁸ Rebuke not a ^[b]scorner, lest he hate thee: but rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.

¹² If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for ^[a]thyself, and if thou be a scorner, thou alone shalt suffer.

13 ¹ A wise son will obey the instruction of his father: but a scorner will hear no rebuke.

^6 [a]A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy to him that will understand.

¹² A scorner loveth not him that rebuketh him, neither will he go unto the wise.

^5 (A)He that mocketh the poor, reproacheth him that made him: and he that rejoiceth at destruction, shall not be unpunished.

^25 (A)Smite a scorner, and the ^[a]foolish will beware: and reprove the prudent, and he will understand knowledge.

²⁴ Proud, haughty, and scornful is his name that worketh in his arrogancy wrath.

¹⁰ Cast out the scorner, and strife shall go out: so contention and reproach shall cease.
