³³ The ^(A)curse of Yahweh is on the house of the wicked one,
But He ^(B)blesses the abode of the righteous.
³⁴ Though ^(C)He scoffs at the scoffers,
Yet ^(D)He gives grace to the humble.
^35 (E)The wise will inherit glory,
But ^[a]fools raise up disgrace.

³ The ^(A)integrity of the upright will lead them,
But the ^(B)crookedness of the treacherous will destroy them.

⁵ The ^(A)righteousness of the blameless will make his way straight,
But ^(B)the wicked will fall by his own wickedness.
⁶ The righteousness of the upright will deliver them,
But the treacherous will ^(C)be captured by their own desire.
⁷ When a wicked man dies, his ^(D)hope will perish,
And the ^(E)expectation of vigorous men perishes.
⁸ The righteous is rescued from ^[a]distress,
But the wicked ^[b]takes his place.

¹⁹ He who is steadfast in ^(A)righteousness will attain to life,
And ^(B)he who pursues evil will bring about his own death.
²⁰ Those with a crooked heart are an abomination to Yahweh,
But those of a ^(C)blameless way are His ^(D)delight.
^21 [a]Assuredly, the evil man will not go unpunished,
But the seed of the righteous will escape.

²³ The desire of the righteous is only good,
But the ^(A)hope of the wicked is wrath.
