⁸ Guarding the paths of justice,
And He ^(A)preserves the way of His godly ones.
⁹ Then you will discern ^(B)righteousness and justice
And equity and every ^(C)good course.

⁵ The thoughts of the righteous are just,
But the counsels of the wicked are deceitful.

^23 (A)Abundant food is in the fallow ground of the poor,
But ^[a]it is swept away by injustice.

¹⁰ A divine ^(A)decision is in the lips of the king;
His mouth should not ^[a]err in judgment.
¹¹ A ^(B)just balance and scales belong to the Lord;
All the ^[b]weights of the bag are His ^[c]concern.
¹² It is an abomination for kings to commit wicked acts,
For a ^(C)throne is established on righteousness.
