²³ Guard your heart with all diligence,
For ^(A)from it flow the springs of life.
²⁴ Put away from you a ^(B)perverse mouth
And ^(C)put devious lips far from you.
²⁵ Let your eyes look directly ahead
And even let your eyelids be fixed straight in front of you.
^26 (D)Watch the track of your feet
And all your ^(E)ways will be established.
^27 (F)Do not turn to the right nor to the left;
^(G)Turn your foot from evil.

⁵ The ^(A)righteousness of the blameless will make his way straight,
But ^(B)the wicked will fall by his own wickedness.
⁶ The righteousness of the upright will deliver them,
But the treacherous will ^(C)be captured by their own desire.

¹² There ^(A)is a way which seems right to a man,
But its ^(B)end is the way of death.

¹⁶ A wise man fears and ^(A)turns away from evil,
But a fool gets angry and feels secure.

²² Will they not wander in error who ^(A)devise evil?
But lovingkindness and truth will be to those who devise good.

³ The ^(A)eyes of Yahweh are in every place,
Watching the evil and the good.

⁶ By ^(A)lovingkindness and truth iniquity is atoned for,
And by the ^[a](B)fear of Yahweh one turns away from evil.
