¹⁸ But ^(A)the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. ^19 (B)For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual immoralities, thefts, false witness, slanders.

²¹ For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, sexual immoralities, thefts, murders, adulteries,

^45 (A)The good man out of the good ^[a]treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil. ^(B)For his mouth speaks from the abundance of his heart.
