He who ^(B)rejoices at calamity will not go unpunished.

But he who repeats a matter ^(B)separates intimate friends.

⁶ A fool’s lips ^[a]bring strife,
And his mouth calls for ^(A)blows.

⁸ The words of a whisperer are like dainty morsels,
And they go down into the ^[a]innermost parts of the body.

19 ^(A)Better is a poor man who ^(B)walks in his integrity
Than he who is perverse in ^[a]speech and is a fool.

¹⁹ He who ^(A)goes about as a slanderer reveals secrets,
Therefore do not associate with ^[a](B)a gossip.
