But righteousness delivers from death.

But He ^(C)will push away the craving of the wicked.

⁹ He ^(A)who walks in integrity walks securely,
But ^(B)he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.

¹⁶ The ^[a](A)wages of the righteous is life,
The income of the wicked, punishment.

²⁴ What ^(A)the wicked dreads will come upon him,
But the ^(B)desire of the righteous will be granted.
²⁵ When the ^(C)whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more,
But the ^(D)righteous has an everlasting foundation.

²⁷ The ^(A)fear of Yahweh prolongs ^[a]life,
But the ^(B)years of the wicked will be shortened.
²⁸ The ^(C)expectation of the righteous is gladness,
But the ^(D)hope of the wicked will perish.
²⁹ The ^(E)way of Yahweh is a stronghold to the one with integrity,
But ^(F)ruin to the workers of iniquity.
³⁰ The ^(G)righteous will never be shaken,
But ^(H)the wicked will not dwell in the land.
