² When ^(A)pride comes, then comes dishonor,
But with the humble is wisdom.

^12 (A)Before destruction the heart of man is haughty,
But ^(B)humility goes before honor.

⁴ Haughty eyes and a proud heart,
The ^(A)lamp of the wicked, is sin.

²⁴ “Proud,” “Haughty,” “^(A)Scoffer,” are his names,
Who acts with ^(B)insolent pride.

⁴ The reward of humility and the ^[a]fear of the Lord
Are riches, honor and life.

¹² Do you see a man ^(A)wise in his own eyes?
^(B)There is more hope for a fool than for him.

²³ A man’s ^(A)pride will bring him low,
But a ^(B)humble spirit will obtain honor.
