Proverbs 16:19-21

¹⁹It is better to be a humble person living among the poor than to share the wealth among the proud.

²⁰Good things happen to those who learn from their experiences, and the Lord blesses those who trust him.

²¹People will know if someone is wise. Those who choose their words carefully can be very convincing.

Proverbs 16:19-21

¹⁹Better to be lowly in spirit along with the oppressed
than to share plunder with the proud.

²⁰Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers,^[a]^(A)
and blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord.^(B)

²¹The wise in heart are called discerning,
and gracious words promote instruction.^[b]^(C)
