And he who speaks uprightly is loved.

When he closes his lips, he is considered understanding.

^12 (A)Before destruction the heart of man is haughty,
But ^(B)humility goes before glory.

¹³ Like the cold of snow in the ^[a]time of harvest
Is a ^(A)faithful envoy to those who send him,
For he refreshes the soul of his masters.

²⁷ To eat too much honey is not good,
Nor is it glory to ^(A)search out ^[a]one’s own glory.
