³²If you refuse to be corrected, you are only hurting yourself. Listen to criticism, and you will gain understanding.

³³Wisdom teaches you to respect the Lord. You must be humbled before you can be honored.

³¹Whoever heeds life-giving correction
will be at home among the wise.^(A)

³²Those who disregard discipline despise themselves,^(B)
but the one who heeds correction gains understanding.^(C)

³³Wisdom’s instruction is to fear the Lord,^(D)
and humility comes before honor.^(E)
