¹²Hope that is delayed makes you sad, but a wish that comes true fills you with joy.

¹³Those who reject a command hurt themselves; those who respect a command will be rewarded.

¹¹Dishonest money dwindles away,^(A)
but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.

¹²Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.^(B)

¹³Whoever scorns instruction will pay for it,^(C)
