They ambush their own lives.

It takes away the life of its possessors.

Than great treasure and turmoil with it.

²⁷ He who ^(A)profits illicitly troubles his own house,
But he who ^(B)hates bribes will live.

²⁶ All day long he ^[a]is craving,
While the righteous ^(A)gives and does not hold back.

22 A ^(A)good name is to be more desired than great wealth,
Favor is better than silver and gold.

^20 [a](A)Sheol and ^[b]Abaddon are ^(B)never satisfied,
Nor are the ^(C)eyes of man ever satisfied.

^6 (A)Better is the poor who walks in his integrity
Than he who is ^[a]crooked though he be rich.

⁸ He who increases his wealth by ^(A)interest and usury
Gathers it ^(B)for him who is gracious to the poor.
