Proverbios 2
La Palabra (España)
La sabiduría, búsqueda y don
2 Hijo mío, si aceptas mis palabras
y guardas cual tesoro mis mandatos,
2 prestando atención a la sabiduría
y abriendo tu mente a la prudencia;
3 si invocas a la inteligencia
y llamas a la prudencia;
4 si la persigues como al dinero
y la rastreas como a un tesoro,
5 entonces comprenderás lo que es respetar al Señor
y encontrarás el conocimiento de Dios.
6 Porque el Señor concede la sabiduría
y de su boca salen el saber y la prudencia;
7 otorga el éxito a los honrados
y es escudo de conductas íntegras;
8 protege al que se comporta rectamente
y custodia el camino de sus fieles.
9 Entonces comprenderás la justicia,
el derecho y la honradez:
todos los caminos del bien.
10 Pues la sabiduría entrará en tu mente
y el saber se te hará atractivo;
11 la sensatez cuidará de ti
y la prudencia te protegerá;
12 te apartará del mal camino
y de quienes hablan con maldad;
13 de los que abandonan los senderos rectos
y andan por caminos sombríos;
14 de los que disfrutan haciendo el mal
y gozan con la perversión;
15 de los que siguen senderos tortuosos
y caminos extraviados.
16 Te librará de la mujer ajena,
de la extraña de palabras seductoras,
17 la que abandona al compañero de su juventud
y olvida la alianza de su Dios;
y los rectos permanecerán en ella;
22 pero los malvados serán arrancados de la tierra,
los perversos serán extirpados de ella.
Proverbs 2
King James Version
2 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.
6 For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
8 He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
15 Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:
16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
18 For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
19 None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
20 That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
Proverbs 2
English Standard Version
The Value of Wisdom
2 (A)My son, (B)if you receive my words
and treasure up my commandments with you,
2 making your ear attentive to wisdom
and inclining your heart to understanding;
3 yes, if you call out for insight
and raise your voice (C)for understanding,
4 if you seek it like (D)silver
and search for it as for (E)hidden treasures,
5 then (F)you will understand the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.
6 For (G)the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
7 he stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
he is (H)a shield to those who (I)walk in integrity,
8 guarding the paths of justice
and (J)watching over the way of his (K)saints.
9 (L)Then you will understand (M)righteousness and justice
and equity, every good path;
10 for wisdom will come into your heart,
and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;
11 (N)discretion will (O)watch over you,
understanding will guard you,
12 delivering you from the way of evil,
from men of perverted speech,
13 who forsake the paths of uprightness
to (P)walk in the ways of darkness,
14 who (Q)rejoice in doing evil
and (R)delight in the perverseness of evil,
15 men whose (S)paths are crooked,
(T)and who are (U)devious in their ways.
16 So (V)you will be delivered from the forbidden[a] woman,
from (W)the adulteress[b] with (X)her smooth words,
17 who forsakes (Y)the companion of her youth
and forgets (Z)the covenant of her God;
18 (AA)for her house sinks down to death,
and her paths to the departed;[c]
19 none who go to her come back,
nor do they regain the paths of life.
20 So you will walk in the way of the good
and keep to the paths of the righteous.
21 For the upright (AB)will inhabit the land,
and those with integrity will remain in it,
22 but the wicked will be (AC)cut off from the land,
and the treacherous will be (AD)rooted out of it.
