⁶ It is ^(A)the hard-working farmer who ought to have the first share of the crops.

^7 (A)Who serves as a soldier at his own expense? ^(B)Who plants a vineyard without eating any of its fruit? Or who tends a flock without getting some of the milk?

⁸ He who plants and he who waters are one, and each ^(A)will receive his wages according to his labor.

^37 (A)Blessed are those servants^[a] whom the master finds ^(B)awake when he comes. Truly, I say to you, ^(C)he will dress himself for service and ^(D)have them recline at table, and he will come and serve them.

²⁶ If anyone serves me, he must ^(A)follow me; and ^(B)where I am, there will my servant be also. ^(C)If anyone serves me, ^(D)the Father will honor him.

¹⁷ And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant!^[a] Because you have been ^(A)faithful in a very little, ^(B)you shall have authority over ten cities.’

^43 (A)Blessed is that servant^[a] whom his master will find so doing when he comes. ⁴⁴ Truly, I say to you, ^(B)he will set him over all his possessions.
