²⁴ Whoever says to the wicked, “You are innocent,”
    will be cursed by peoples, abhorred by nations,^(A)

¹⁵ One who justifies the wicked and one who condemns the righteous
    are both alike an abomination to the Lord.^(A)

²³ who acquit the guilty for a bribe
    and deprive the innocent of their rights!^(A)

²⁶ The people curse those who hold back grain,
    but a blessing is on the head of those who sell it.^(A)

²⁷ Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing,
    but one who turns a blind eye will get many a curse.^(A)

¹⁰ Therefore I will give their wives to others
    and their fields to conquerors,
because from the least to the greatest
    everyone is greedy for unjust gain;
from prophet to priest,
    everyone deals falsely.^(A)
11 They have treated the wound of the daughter of my people carelessly,
    saying, “Peace, peace,”
    when there is no peace.^(B)
