^7 (A)I will give them a heart to know that I am the Lord, ^(B)and they shall be my people ^(C)and I will be their God, ^(D)for they shall return to me with their whole heart.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come and ^(A)has given us understanding, so that we may know ^(B)him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and ^(C)eternal life.

⁹ And I tell you, ^(A)ask, and ^(B)it will be given to you; ^(C)seek, and you will find; ^(D)knock, and it will be opened to you. ¹⁰ For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. ¹¹ What father among you, if his son asks for^[a] a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent; ¹² or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? ¹³ If you then, ^(E)who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father ^(F)give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

^22 (A)All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is ^(B)except the Father, or who the Father is ^(C)except the Son and anyone ^(D)to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

¹⁰ Give me now wisdom and knowledge to ^(A)go out and come in before this people, for who can govern this people of yours, which is so great?” ¹¹ God answered Solomon, “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked for ^(B)possessions, wealth, honor, or the life of those who hate you, and have not even asked for long life, but have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself that you may govern my people over whom I have made you king, ¹² wisdom and knowledge are granted to you. I will also give you ^(C)riches, possessions, and honor, ^(D)such as none of the kings had who were before you, and none after you shall have the like.”

^40 (A)I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. ^(B)And I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me. ^41 (C)I will rejoice in doing them good, ^(D)and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and all my soul.

²⁴ but ^(A)let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. ^(B)For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.”
