¹⁰ For ^(A)God is not unjust so as to overlook ^(B)your work and the love that you have shown for his name in ^(C)serving the saints, as you still do.

^38 (A)give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put ^(B)into your lap. For ^(C)with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

The Cheerful Giver

⁶ The point is this: ^(A)whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully^[a] will also reap bountifully. ⁷ Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, ^(B)not reluctantly or under compulsion, for ^(C)God loves a cheerful giver. ⁸ And ^(D)God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency^[b] in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.

⁴⁰ And ^(A)the King will answer them, ^(B)‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these ^(C)my brothers,^[a] you did it to me.’

Cast Your Bread upon the Waters

^41 (A)The one who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and the one who receives a righteous person because he is a righteous person will receive a righteous person's reward. ⁴² And ^(B)whoever gives one of ^(C)these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.”
