² The good obtain favor from the Lord,
    but those who devise evil he condemns.^(A)

³⁵ For whoever finds me finds life
    and obtains favor from the Lord,^(A)

⁵ It is well with those who deal generously and lend,
    who conduct their affairs with justice.

⁵ A fool will no longer be called noble
    nor a villain said to be honorable.^(A)
6 For fools speak folly,
    and their minds plot iniquity:
to practice ungodliness,
    to utter error concerning the Lord,
to leave the craving of the hungry unsatisfied,
    and to deprive the thirsty of drink.^(B)
7 The villainies of villains are evil;
    they devise wicked devices
to ruin the poor with lying words,
    even when the plea of the needy is right.^(C)

³¹ therefore they shall eat the fruit of their way
    and be sated with their own devices.^(A)
