²²A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

New International Version

²²A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children,
but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.^(A)

¹⁷He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.

¹⁷what he lays up^(A) the righteous will wear,^(B)
and the innocent will divide his silver.^(C)

¹⁸He buildeth his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper maketh.

¹⁸The house^(A) he builds is like a moth’s cocoon,^(B)
like a hut^(C) made by a watchman.
