2 Domnul a nimicit fără milă(A) toate locuinţele lui Iacov.
În urgia Lui, a dărâmat întăriturile fiicei lui Iuda
şi le-a prăvălit la pământ;
a făcut de ocară(B) împărăţia şi căpeteniile ei.
3 În mânia Lui aprinsă, a doborât toată puterea lui Israel;
Şi-a tras înapoi(C) de la el dreapta înaintea vrăjmaşului
şi a aprins(D) în Iacov o văpaie de foc care mistuie toate de jur împrejur.
4 Şi-a încordat(E) arcul ca un vrăjmaş, Şi-a ridicat dreapta ca un asupritor
şi a prăpădit tot(F) ce era plăcut privirilor;
Şi-a vărsat ca un foc urgia peste cortul fiicei Sionului.

2 Without pity(A) the Lord has swallowed(B) up
all the dwellings of Jacob;
in his wrath he has torn down
the strongholds(C) of Daughter Judah.
He has brought her kingdom and its princes
down to the ground(D) in dishonor.
