²⁰ Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in the Lord.

⁴ I have no greater ^(A)joy than to hear that ^(B)my children walk in ^[a]truth.

⁷ For we ^[a]have great ^[b]joy and ^[c]consolation in your love, because the ^[d]hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.

¹² I am sending him ^[a]back. You therefore receive him, that is, my own ^[b]heart,

¹⁷ But ^(A)whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

^17 (A)Obey those who ^[a]rule over you, and be submissive, for ^(B)they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.

⁷ therefore, brethren, in all our affliction and distress ^(A)we were comforted concerning you by your faith. ⁸ For now we live, if you ^(B)stand fast in the Lord.

⁹ For what thanks can we render to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sake before our God,

¹⁹ For ^(A)what is our hope, or joy, or ^(B)crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the ^(C)presence of our Lord Jesus Christ ^(D)at His coming? ²⁰ For you are our glory and joy.
