Paul’s Advice
4 So, brothers and sisters, I love you and miss you. You are my joy and my crown. Therefore, dear friends, keep your relationship with the Lord firm!
2 I encourage both Euodia and Syntyche to have the attitude the Lord wants them to have. 3 Yes, I also ask you, Syzugus, my true partner, to help these women. They fought beside me to spread the Good News along with Clement and the rest of my coworkers, whose names are in the Book of Life.
Always Be Joyful
4 Always be joyful in the Lord! I’ll say it again: Be joyful! 5 Let everyone know how considerate you are. The Lord is near. 6 Never worry about anything. But in every situation let God know what you need in prayers and requests while giving thanks. 7 Then God’s peace, which goes beyond anything we can imagine, will guard your thoughts and emotions through Christ Yeshua.
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, keep your thoughts on whatever is right or deserves praise: things that are true, honorable, fair, pure, acceptable, or commendable. 9 Practice what you’ve learned and received from me, what you heard and saw me do. Then the God who gives this peace will be with you.
Thanks for Your Gifts
10 The Lord has filled me with joy because you again showed interest in me. You were interested but did not have an opportunity to show it. 11 I’m not saying this because I’m in any need. I’ve learned to be content in whatever situation I’m in. 12 I know how to live in poverty or prosperity. No matter what the situation, I’ve learned the secret of how to live when I’m full or when I’m hungry, when I have too much or when I have too little. 13 I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me. 14 Nevertheless, it was kind of you to share my troubles.
15 You Philippians also know that in the early days, when I left the province of Macedonia to spread the Good News, you were the only church to share your money with me. You gave me what I needed, and you received what I gave you. 16 Even while I was in Thessalonica, you provided for my needs twice. 17 It’s not that I’m looking for a gift. The opposite is true. I’m looking for your resources to increase. 18 You have paid me in full, and I have more than enough. Now that Epaphroditus has brought me your gifts, you have filled my needs. Your gifts are a soothing aroma, a sacrifice that God accepts and with which he is pleased. 19 My God will richly fill your every need in a glorious way through Christ Yeshua. 20 Glory belongs to our God and Father forever! Amen.
21 Greet everyone who believes in Christ Yeshua. The brothers and sisters who are with me send greetings to you. 22 All God’s people here, especially those in the emperor’s palace, greet you. 23 May the good will[a] of our Lord Yeshua Christ be with you.

Closing Appeal for Steadfastness and Unity
4 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for,(A) my joy and crown, stand firm(B) in the Lord in this way, dear friends!
2 I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to be of the same mind(C) in the Lord. 3 Yes, and I ask you, my true companion, help these women since they have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers,(D) whose names are in the book of life.(E)
Final Exhortations
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!(F) 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.(G) 6 Do not be anxious about anything,(H) but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.(I) 7 And the peace of God,(J) which transcends all understanding,(K) will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice.(L) And the God of peace(M) will be with you.
Thanks for Their Gifts
10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me.(N) Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content(O) whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry,(P) whether living in plenty or in want.(Q) 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.(R)
14 Yet it was good of you to share(S) in my troubles. 15 Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days(T) of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia,(U) not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only;(V) 16 for even when I was in Thessalonica,(W) you sent me aid more than once when I was in need.(X) 17 Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account.(Y) 18 I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus(Z) the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant(AA) offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. 19 And my God will meet all your needs(AB) according to the riches of his glory(AC) in Christ Jesus.
20 To our God and Father(AD) be glory for ever and ever. Amen.(AE)
Final Greetings
21 Greet all God’s people in Christ Jesus. The brothers and sisters who are with me(AF) send greetings. 22 All God’s people(AG) here send you greetings, especially those who belong to Caesar’s household.
23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ(AH) be with your spirit.(AI) Amen.[a]

4 Stoga, braćo moja ljubljena i žuđena, radosti i vijenče moj, budite, ljubljeni, tako postojani u Gospodinu!
2 Preklinjem Evodiju i preklinjem Sintihu da budu složne u Gospodinu. 3 Da, i tebe, istinski sudruže, molim: pomozi im! One su se borile u Evanđelju zajedno sa mnom i s Klementom i ostalim mojim suradnicima. Njihova su imena u knjizi života.
4 Radujte se u Gospodinu uvijek! I ponovno ću reći: Radujte se! 5 Blagost vaša neka je poznata svim ljudima. Vi ste na to već i mislili, ali niste imali prigode. 11 Ne govorim to zbog oskudice; doista, u onom u čemu sam, naučio sam biti sebidovoljan. 12 Znam biti i skroman, znam i obilovati. Naviknut sam na sve: i sit biti i gladovati, i obilovati i oskudijevati. 13 Sve mogu u Onome koji me jača![a] 14 Lijepo ipak učiniste što sa mnom podijeliste moju nevolju. 15 A i vi, Filipljani, znadete da u početku Evanđelja, kad otiđoh iz Makedonije, nijedna mi crkva ne pripomože u pogledu na izdatke i primitke, osim vas jedinih.
16 Čak ste mi, dok bijah u Solunu, i jedanput, i dvaput, za potrebe poslali. 17 Ne, ne tražim dara, već tražim plod što se umnaža u vašu korist. 18 Sve već imam i izobilujem. Nasićen sam otkad od Epafrodita primih ono od vas, ugodan miris, žrtvu prihvatljivu i ugodnu Bogu. 19 A Bog će moj slavno ispuniti svaku vašu potrebu prema svojemu bogatstvu, u Kristu Isusu. 20 A Bogu i Ocu našemu slava u vijeke vjekova! 2 我勸友阿嫡,也勸循都基,要在主裡有同樣的思想。 3 我真誠的同道啊,我也求你幫助她們。這兩個女人,還有革利免和其餘的同工,都跟我在福音的事工上一同勞苦,他們的名字都在生命冊上。
