Förmaningar
4 Stå därför fasta i Herren, mina älskade och efterlängtade bröder, min glädje och min krona, ni mina älskade. 2 Evodia och Syntyke uppmanar jag att vara eniga i Herren. 3 Ja, också dig, trofaste medarbetare,[a] ber jag: hjälp dem som har kämpat med mig i evangeliets tjänst tillsammans med Klemens och mina andra medarbetare, som har sina namn i livets bok.
4 Gläd er alltid i Herren. Än en gång vill jag säga: gläd er. 5 Låt alla människor se hur vänliga ni är. Herren är nära. 6 Gör er inga bekymmer för något utan låt Gud i allt få veta era önskningar genom åkallan och bön med tacksägelse. 7 Då skall Guds frid, som övergår allt förstånd, bevara era hjärtan och era tankar i Kristus Jesus.
8 För övrigt, bröder, allt som är sant och värdigt, rätt och rent, allt som är värt att älska och uppskatta, ja, allt som kallas dygd och förtjänar beröm, tänk på allt sådant. 9 Vad ni har lärt och tagit emot, hört och sett hos mig, det skall ni göra. Då skall fridens Gud vara med er.
Apostelns tack för gåvan
10 Det har glatt mig mycket i Herren att ni till slut har låtit er omtanke om mig blomma upp. Visst tänkte ni redan förut på mig, men då hade ni inte något tillfälle att visa det. 11 Jag säger inte att jag har saknat något, för jag har lärt mig att vara nöjd med det jag har. 12 Jag kan leva enkelt och jag kan leva i överflöd. Med allt och med alla förhållanden är jag förtrogen. Jag kan vara mätt och jag kan vara hungrig, leva i överflöd och lida brist. 13 Allt förmår jag i honom som ger mig kraft. 14 Men ni gjorde väl som hjälpte mig i mitt svåra läge.
15 Ni filipper vet också hur det var under evangeliets första tid, när jag hade lämnat Makedonien. Ni var den enda församling som satte sig i förbindelse med mig, så att räkenskap kunde föras över givet och mottaget. 16 Också när jag var i Tessalonika skickade ni mig både en och två gånger vad jag behövde. 17 Inte så att jag söker gåvan som sådan, utan vad jag söker är att ni skall få en riklig frukt av den gåva ni ger. 18 Jag har fått allt och det i överflöd. Jag har mer än nog sedan jag av Epafroditus har tagit emot gåvan, en ljuvlig doft, ett rätt offer, som Gud tar emot med glädje. 19 Så skall min Gud, efter sin rikedom på ett härligt sätt i Kristus Jesus ge er allt vad ni behöver. 20 Vår Gud och Fader tillhör äran i evigheternas evigheter, amen.

21 Hälsa alla heliga i Kristus Jesus. Bröderna hos mig hälsar till er. 22 Alla de heliga, särskilt de som hör till kejsarens hus, hälsar er. 23 Herren Jesu Kristi nåd vare med er ande.

Closing Appeal for Steadfastness and Unity
4 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for,(A) my joy and crown, stand firm(B) in the Lord in this way, dear friends!
2 I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to be of the same mind(C) in the Lord. 3 Yes, and I ask you, my true companion, help these women since they have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers,(D) whose names are in the book of life.(E)
Final Exhortations
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!(F) 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.(G) 6 Do not be anxious about anything,(H) but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.(I) 7 And the peace of God,(J) which transcends all understanding,(K) will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice.(L) And the God of peace(M) will be with you.
Thanks for Their Gifts
10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me.(N) Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content(O) whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry,(P) whether living in plenty or in want.(Q) 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.(R)
14 Yet it was good of you to share(S) in my troubles. 15 Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days(T) of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia,(U) not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only;(V) 16 for even when I was in Thessalonica,(W) you sent me aid more than once when I was in need.(X) 17 Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account.(Y) 18 I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus(Z) the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant(AA) offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. 19 And my God will meet all your needs(AB) according to the riches of his glory(AC) in Christ Jesus.
20 To our God and Father(AD) be glory for ever and ever. Amen.(AE)
Final Greetings
21 Greet all God’s people in Christ Jesus. The brothers and sisters who are with me(AF) send greetings. 22 All God’s people(AG) here send you greetings, especially those who belong to Caesar’s household.
23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ(AH) be with your spirit.(AI) Amen.[a]

Be Anxious for Nothing; Think These Thoughts
4 Therefore, my beloved and (A)longed-for brethren, (B)my joy and crown, so (C)stand fast in the Lord, beloved.
Be United, Joyful, and in Prayer
2 I implore Euodia and I implore Syntyche (D)to be of the same mind in the Lord. 3 [a]And I urge you also, true companion, help these women who (E)labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in (F)the Book of Life.
4 (G)Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
5 Let your [b]gentleness be known to all men. (H)The Lord is at hand.
6 (I)Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with (J)thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and (K)the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Meditate on These Things
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are (L)true, whatever things are (M)noble, whatever things are (N)just, (O)whatever things are pure, whatever things are (P)lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and (Q)the God of peace will be with you.
Philippian Generosity
10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last (R)your[c] care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, (S)to be content: 12 (T)I know how to [d]be abased, and I know how to [e]abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things (U)through [f]Christ who strengthens me.
14 Nevertheless you have done well that (V)you shared in my distress. 15 Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, (W)no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only. 16 For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities. 17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek (X)the fruit that abounds to your account. 18 Indeed I [g]have all and abound. I am full, having received from (Y)Epaphroditus the things sent from you, (Z)a sweet-smelling aroma, (AA)an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. 19 And my God (AB)shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 20 (AC)Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. 4 De aceea, preaiubiţii şi mult doriţii(A) mei fraţi, bucuria(B) şi cununa mea, rămâneţi(C) astfel tari în Domnul, preaiubiţilor! 2 Îndemn pe Evodia şi îndemn pe Sintichia să fie cu un gând(D) în Domnul. 3 Şi pe tine, adevărat tovarăş de jug, te rog să vii în ajutorul femeilor acestora, care au lucrat(E) împreună cu mine pentru Evanghelie, cu Clement şi cu ceilalţi tovarăşi de lucru ai mei, ale căror nume sunt scrise în cartea(F) vieţii. 4 Bucuraţi-vă(G) totdeauna în Domnul! Iarăşi zic: Bucuraţi-vă! 5 Blândeţea voastră să fie cunoscută de toţi oamenii. Domnul este aproape(H). 6 Nu(I) vă îngrijoraţi de nimic, ci, în orice lucru, aduceţi cererile voastre la cunoştinţa lui Dumnezeu, prin rugăciuni şi cereri, cu mulţumiri. 7 Şi pacea(J) lui Dumnezeu, care întrece orice pricepere, vă va păzi inimile şi gândurile în Hristos Isus. 8 Încolo, fraţii mei, tot ce este adevărat, tot ce este vrednic de cinste, tot ce este drept, tot ce este curat, tot(K) ce este vrednic de iubit, tot ce este vrednic de primit, orice faptă bună şi orice laudă, aceea să vă însufleţească. 9 Ce(L) aţi învăţat, ce aţi primit şi auzit de la mine şi ce aţi văzut în mine, faceţi. Şi Dumnezeul(M) păcii va fi cu voi. 10 Am avut o mare bucurie în Domnul, că, în sfârşit, aţi putut să vă înnoiţi iarăşi simţămintele(N) voastre faţă de mine. Vă gândeaţi voi la aşa ceva, dar vă lipsea prilejul. 11 Nu zic lucrul acesta având în vedere nevoile mele; căci m-am deprins să fiu(O) mulţumit cu starea în care mă găsesc. 12 Ştiu(P) să trăiesc smerit şi ştiu să trăiesc în belşug. În totul şi pretutindeni m-am deprins să fiu sătul şi flămând, să fiu în belşug şi să fiu în lipsă. 13 Pot totul(Q) în Hristos, care mă întăreşte. 14 Dar bine aţi făcut că aţi(R) luat parte la strâmtorarea mea. 15 Ştiţi voi înşivă, filipenilor, că, la începutul Evangheliei, când am plecat din Macedonia, nicio(S) Biserică n-a avut legătură cu mine în ceea ce priveşte „darea” şi „primirea” afară de voi. 16 Căci mi-aţi trimis în Tesalonic, o dată şi chiar de două ori, ceva pentru nevoile mele. 17 Nu că umblu după daruri. Dimpotrivă, umblu după câştigul(T) care prisoseşte în folosul vostru. 18 Am de toate şi sunt în belşug. Sunt bogat de când am primit prin Epafrodit(U) ce mi-aţi trimis…, un miros(V) de bună mireasmă, o jertfă(W) bine primită şi plăcută lui Dumnezeu. 19 Şi Dumnezeul meu să îngrijească(X) de toate trebuinţele voastre după(Y) bogăţia Sa, în slavă, în Isus Hristos. 20 A lui(Z) Dumnezeu şi Tatăl nostru să fie slava în vecii vecilor! Amin. 21 Spuneţi sănătate fiecărui sfânt în Hristos Isus.
Fraţii care(AA) sunt cu mine vă trimit sănătate. 22 Toţi sfinţii vă trimit sănătate, mai(AB) ales cei din casa cezarului. 23 Harul(AC) Domnului Isus Hristos să fie cu voi cu toţi! Amin.
