¹⁰ that I may ^(A)know Him and ^(B)the power of His resurrection and ^[a](C)the fellowship of His sufferings, being ^(D)conformed to His death; ¹¹ if somehow I may ^(E)attain to the resurrection from the dead.

¹² Not that I have already ^[b](F)grasped it all or have already ^(G)become perfect, but I press on if I may also ^(H)take hold of that ^[c]for which I ^(I)was even taken hold of by ^(J)Christ Jesus. ¹³ Brothers and sisters, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it yet; but one thing I do: ^(K)forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, ¹⁴ I ^(L)press on toward the goal for the prize of the ^(M)upward call of God in ^(N)Christ Jesus.

^24 (A)Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives ^(B)the prize? ^(C)Run in such a way that you may win.

⁴ For indeed He was ^(A)crucified because of weakness, yet He lives ^(B)because of the power of God. For we too are ^(C)weak ^[a]in Him, yet ^(D)we will live with Him because of the power of God directed toward you.

^5 (E)Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; ^(F)examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you ^[b](G)fail the test? ⁶ But I expect that you will realize that we ourselves ^[c]do not fail the test.

²⁷ to whom ^(A)God willed to make known what ^(B)the wealth of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles is, the mystery that is ^(C)Christ in you, the ^(D)hope of glory. ²⁸ We proclaim Him, ^(E)admonishing every person and teaching every person ^[a]with all ^(F)wisdom, so that we may ^(G)present every person ^[b](H)complete in Christ. ²⁹ For this purpose I also ^(I)labor, ^(J)striving ^(K)according to His ^[c]power which ^[d]works mightily within me.

⁶ Therefore, as you have received ^(A)Christ Jesus the Lord, so ^[a](B)walk in Him, ⁷ having been firmly ^(C)rooted and now being ^(D)built up in Him and ^(E)established ^[b]in ^[c]your faith, just as you ^(F)were instructed, and overflowing ^[d]with gratitude.

^8 (G)See to it that there is no one who takes you captive through ^(H)philosophy and empty deception in accordance with human tradition, in accordance with the ^(I)elementary principles of the world, ^[e]rather than in accordance with Christ.

¹² So, as those who have been ^(A)chosen of God, holy and beloved, ^(B)put on a ^(C)heart of compassion, kindness, ^(D)humility, gentleness, and ^[a](E)patience; ^13 (F)bearing with one another, and ^(G)forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; ^(H)just as the Lord forgave you, so must you do also. ¹⁴ In addition to all these things put on love, which is ^[b](I)the perfect bond of ^(J)unity. ¹⁵ Let ^(K)the peace of Christ, to which you were ^[c]indeed called in ^(L)one body, ^[d]rule in your hearts; and ^[e]be thankful. ¹⁶ Let ^(M)the word of ^[f]Christ richly dwell within you, ^[g]with all wisdom ^(N)teaching and admonishing ^[h]one another ^(O)with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, ^(P)singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. ^17 (Q)Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, ^(R)giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

4 Masters, grant your slaves justice and fairness, ^(A)knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.

^2 (B)Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; ³ praying at the same time ^(C)for us as well, that God will open up to us a ^(D)door for ^(E)the word, so that we may proclaim ^(F)the mystery of Christ, for which I have also ^(G)been imprisoned; ⁴ that I may make it clear ^(H)in the way that I ought to proclaim it.

^5 [a](I)Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward ^(J)outsiders, ^[b](K)making the most of the opportunity. ^6 (L)Your speech must always be ^[c]with grace, as though seasoned with ^(M)salt, so that you will know how you should ^(N)respond to each person.

⁹ However, you are not ^(A)in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God ^(B)dwells in you. But ^(C)if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. ^10 (D)If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is ^[a]alive because of righteousness. ¹¹ But if the Spirit of Him who ^(E)raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, ^(F)He who raised ^(G)Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies ^[b]through His Spirit who dwells in you.

¹⁹ and to know ^(A)the love of Christ which ^(B)surpasses knowledge, that you may be ^(C)filled to all the ^(D)fullness of God.
