New International Version

14 Do everything without grumbling(A) or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless(B) and pure, “children of God(C) without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”[a](D) Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky 16 as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ(E) that I did not run(F) or labor in vain.(G)

Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. 16 Hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Christ’s return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my work was not useless.
