Paul’s Chains Advance the Gospel

¹² Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters,^[a] that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel.

¹⁴ So I counsel younger widows to marry,^(A) to have children, to manage their homes and to give the enemy no opportunity for slander.^(B)

⁸ This is a trustworthy saying.^(A) And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good.^(B) These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.
