¹⁴ Yet it was kind of you ^(A)to share^[a] my trouble.

¹⁶ Do not neglect to do good and ^(A)to share what you have, for such ^(B)sacrifices are pleasing to God.

³⁴ For ^(A)you had compassion on those in prison, and ^(B)you joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had ^(C)a better possession and an abiding one.

^6 (A)Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches.

¹⁸ But the Lord said to David my father, ‘Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart.

Support and Opposition

⁵ Beloved, it is a faithful thing you do in all your efforts for ^(A)these brothers, ^(B)strangers as they are, ⁶ who testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their journey in a manner ^(C)worthy of God. ⁷ For they have gone out for the sake of ^(D)the name, ^(E)accepting nothing from the Gentiles. ⁸ Therefore we ought to support people like these, that we may be fellow workers for the truth.

¹⁰ Does he not certainly speak for our sake? It was written ^(A)for our sake, because ^(B)the plowman should plow in hope and the thresher thresh in hope of sharing in the crop. ^11 (C)If we have sown spiritual things among you, is it too much if we reap material things from you?
