Thanks for Their Gifts

¹⁰ I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me.^(A) Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it.

⁹ And when I was with you and needed something, I was not a burden to anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied what I needed.^(A) I have kept myself from being a burden to you^(B) in any way, and will continue to do so.

Thanksgiving and Prayer

³ I thank my God every time I remember you.^(A)

⁶ Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.^(A)

⁶ But God, who comforts the downcast,^(A) comforted us by the coming of Titus,^{(B) 7} and not only by his coming but also by the comfort you had given him. He told us about your longing for me, your deep sorrow, your ardent concern for me, so that my joy was greater than ever.

¹⁰ Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good^(A) to all people, especially to those who belong to the family^(B) of believers.

⁷ in truthful speech^(A) and in the power of God;^(B) with weapons of righteousness^(C) in the right hand and in the left;

³⁰ because he almost died for the work of Christ. He risked his life to make up for the help you yourselves could not give me.^(A)
