¹⁴ I press on toward the goal for ^(A)the prize of the upward ^(B)call of God in Christ Jesus.

²⁴ Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives ^(A)the prize? So ^(B)run that you may obtain it.

¹⁰ And ^(A)after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, ^(B)who has called you to his ^(C)eternal glory in Christ, will himself ^(D)restore, ^(E)confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

^21 (A)The one who conquers, ^(B)I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as ^(C)I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.

²⁸ And we know that for those who love God all things work together ^(A)for good,^[a] for ^(B)those who are called according to his purpose. ²⁹ For those whom he ^(C)foreknew he also ^(D)predestined ^(E)to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be ^(F)the firstborn among many brothers. ³⁰ And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also ^(G)justified, and those whom he justified he also ^(H)glorified.

^7 (A)I have fought the good fight, ^(B)I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. ⁸ Henceforth there is ^(C)laid up for me ^(D)the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, ^(E)the righteous judge, will award to me on ^(F)that day, and not only to me but also to all ^(G)who have loved his appearing.

Born Again to a Living Hope

^3 (A)Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! ^(B)According to his great mercy, ^(C)he has caused us to be born again to a living hope ^(D)through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, ⁴ to ^(E)an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and ^(F)unfading, ^(G)kept in heaven for you,

Confirm Your Calling and Election

³ His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him ^(A)who called us to^[a] his own glory and excellence,^[b]

¹² we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and ^(A)charged ^(B)you to walk in a manner worthy of God, ^(C)who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.
