Jesus Is Equal with God

¹⁸ This was why the Jews ^(A)were seeking all the more to kill him, ^(B)because not only was he ^(C)breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God ^(D)his own Father, ^(E)making himself equal with God.

⁴ In their case ^(A)the god of this world ^(B)has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing ^(C)the light of ^(D)the gospel of the glory of Christ, ^(E)who is the image of God.

³ He is the radiance of the glory of God and ^(A)the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. ^(B)After making purification for sins, ^(C)he sat down ^(D)at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

⁵ And now, Father, ^(A)glorify me in your own presence with the glory ^(B)that I had with you ^(C)before the world existed.

The Preeminence of Christ

^15 (A)He is the image of ^(B)the invisible God, ^(C)the firstborn of all creation. ¹⁶ For by^[a] him all things were created, ^(D)in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether ^(E)thrones or ^(F)dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created ^(G)through him and for him.

⁶ And he said to me, ^(A)“It is done! ^(B)I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. ^(C)To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.

^30 (A)I and the Father are one.”
