¹¹ and ^(A)every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is ^(B)Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

^13 (A)You call me ^(B)Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am.

^15 (A)Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

⁹ For to this end Christ ^(A)died and lived again, that he might be Lord both ^(B)of the dead and of the living.

² By this you know the Spirit of God: ^(A)every spirit that confesses that ^(B)Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,

³ Therefore I want you to understand that ^(A)no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is ^(B)accursed!” and ^(C)no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit.

⁹ because, if ^(A)you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and ^(B)believe in your heart ^(C)that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. ¹⁰ For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. ¹¹ For the Scripture says, ^(D)“Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” ^12 (E)For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; ^(F)for the same Lord is Lord of all, ^(G)bestowing his riches on all who call on him.

²² (His parents said these things ^(A)because they feared the Jews, for ^(B)the Jews had already agreed that if anyone should ^(C)confess Jesus^[a] to be Christ, ^(D)he was to be put out of the synagogue.)

^5 (A)The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never ^(B)blot his name out of ^(C)the book of life. ^(D)I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.
