Imitating Christ’s Humility

2 Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit,^(A) if any tenderness and compassion,^(B)

¹² Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves^(A) with compassion, kindness, humility,^(B) gentleness and patience.^(C)

¹² No one has ever seen God;^(A) but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.^(B)

God’s Love and Ours

⁷ Dear friends, let us love one another,^(A) for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God^(B) and knows God.^{(C) 8} Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.^(D)

¹⁴ May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ,^(A) and the love of God,^(B) and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit^(C) be with you all.

Psalm 133

A song of ascents. Of David.

¹³ For we were all baptized^(A) by^[a] one Spirit^(B) so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free^(C)—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.^(D)

² My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart^(A) and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery^(B) of God, namely, Christ,

¹⁸ For through him we both have access^(A) to the Father^(B) by one Spirit.^(C)

¹⁹ Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers,^(D) but fellow citizens^(E) with God’s people and also members of his household,^{(F) 20} built^(G) on the foundation^(H) of the apostles and prophets,^(I) with Christ Jesus himself^(J) as the chief cornerstone.^{(K) 21} In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple^(L) in the Lord. ²² And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.^(M)
