⁷ just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace.

³ I do not say this to condemn; for ^(A)I have said before that you are in our hearts, to die together and to live together.

^5 (A)for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now,

^9 (A)for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, ^(B)even to the point of chains; ^(C)but the word of God is not chained.

^18 (A)This salutation by my own hand—Paul. ^(B)Remember my chains. Grace be with you. Amen.

¹⁴ Nevertheless you have done well that ^(A)you shared in my distress.

^16 [a]The former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my chains; ¹⁷ but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel.

²⁰ for which ^(A)I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

The Mystery Revealed

3 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles—

²³ except that ^(A)the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that chains and tribulations await me.
