⁷ It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you ^(A)in my heart, for you are all ^(B)partakers with me of grace,^[a] both ^(C)in my imprisonment and in ^(D)the defense and confirmation of the gospel.

³ I do not say this to condemn you, for I said before that ^(A)you are in our hearts, to die together and to live together.

^5 (A)because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.

^9 (A)for which I am suffering, ^(B)bound with chains as a criminal. But ^(C)the word of God is not bound!

¹⁸ I, Paul, ^(A)write this greeting with my own hand. ^(B)Remember ^(C)my chains. ^(D)Grace be with you.

¹⁴ Yet it was kind of you ^(A)to share^[a] my trouble.

¹⁶ The latter do it out of love, ^(A)knowing that I am put here for ^(B)the defense of the gospel. ¹⁷ The former proclaim Christ ^(C)out of selfish ambition, not sincerely but thinking to afflict me in my imprisonment.

²⁰ for which I ^(A)am an ambassador ^(B)in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.

3 For this reason I, Paul, ^(A)a prisoner of Christ Jesus ^(B)on behalf of you Gentiles—

²³ except that ^(A)the Holy Spirit testifies to me in every city that ^(B)imprisonment and ^(C)afflictions await me.
