The Census

1 The Lord spoke to Moses in the tent of meeting^(A) in the Desert of Sinai^(B) on the first day of the second month^(C) of the second year after the Israelites came out of Egypt.^(D) He said:

¹⁷ So the tabernacle^(A) was set up on the first day of the first month^(B) in the second year.

² “This month is to be for you the first month,^(A) the first month of your year.
