2 At the command of the Lord, Moses recorded the stages of their journeys. These are their journeys by stages: 3 the people of Israel left Rameses on the fifteenth day of the first month, the day after Passover. They went out triumphantly in the sight of the Egyptians. 4 This was while the Egyptians were burying their firstborn whom the Lord had slain. The Lord also executed judgment upon their gods.

2 At the Lord’s command Moses recorded(A) the stages in their journey(B). This is their journey by stages:
3 The Israelites set out(C) from Rameses(D) on the fifteenth day of the first month, the day after the Passover.(E) They marched out defiantly(F) in full view of all the Egyptians, 4 who were burying all their firstborn,(G) whom the Lord had struck down among them; for the Lord had brought judgment(H) on their gods.(I)
